February Luncheon Sponsor

The Chamber Wishes to thank the Bolingbrook Rotary Club for sponsoring last month's luncheon.

The Bolingbrook Rotary Club was established in 1975 and is an organization of business and professional leaders with high standards of character and integrity who are dedicated to humanitarian service, encouraging high ethical standards and building goodwill and peace in the world.  The object of the Rotary Club is to encourage and foster the ideal of service above self.

Each year the Club hosts the Top Ten dinner to recognize the accomplishments, educational plans and goals of the top ten percent of the graduating classes of our local high schools.  Over $10,000 in scholarships are awarded on an annual basis.  Two sustaining scholarships are funded annually:  Joliet Jr. College endowment fund and the Blumenstein Memorial Scholarship.

The Rotary Club also sponsors a luncheon for the Bolingbrook Senior Club.  Members of the Club serve the meal and enjoy the opportunity to meet with senior adults.

The Club is actively involved in many international projects such as eradicating polio around the world, providing care and assistance to those who have been injured by land mines and providing sun ovens to third world countries.  The Rotary is also involved with student exchange programs, group study exchange programs and ambassadorial scholarships.
