The Board of Directors and the Chamber Staff recognize how valuable the Ambassadors are to the Chamber.  We wanted to find a way to show them our appreciation for all they do.  What better way than to honor an Ambassador by featuring him/her in a newsletter column each month

The Ambassadors assist the Chamber in many ways by attending Ribbon Cuttings, bringing in new members, making personal visits to non-renewal members, serving as greeters at various Chamber functions, volunteering their time at special events and a myriad of other responsibilities.

     Our Ambassador of the month for February is George Primm from Harris Trust and Saving Bank at 101 Burr Ridge Parkway in Burr Ridge.  George is the Senior Relationship manager in the Business Banking Group.  He has been with Harris bank for 12 years and in the Business Banking Group since its inception three years ago.
     
     The Business Banking Center was established in order to bring to the suburbs all of the business banking capability of Harris and its parent company, Bank of Montreal.  These services include Trade Finance, fixed rate financing, traditional business loans, prime-based borrowing. LIBOR (London Inter Bank Overnight Rate) based borrowing and private equity financing. 

           In summary, the Business Banking Center can bring the banking products which were previously only available to the Fortune 100 right to your doorstep from a local location.  George said, " I consider the ability to bring world-wide capabilities to companies in my hometown of Bolingbrook from a local office to be unique.  Also the hands-on ability to work with companies is good."
     
     George and his wife Sandra have four children; Joshua, age 15;  Joel, age 11;  Nicole, age 9 and Danielle, is 6 years old.  George will celebrate his  birthday on March 16th.  His hobbies include doing projects around the house, but his real love is working on Chevy muscle cars.  He has been a member of the Chamber now for 5 years and has served as an Ambassador for 3 years.

     When we asked George to tell us something about himself that most of don't know, he said, "With the license plate of CHVYMAN most people know where my loyalty is, but the first car I bought new was a 1989 Ford Pinto.  I owned it for one year and traded it in on a 1981 Chevrolet Z-28, which I still own."
