THE PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear Chamber Members:

Wasn't the State of the Village absolutely awesome?  Hats off to all of you for making it such a special event.  I appreciate all of you who were located in the outer courts of the Holiday Inn and kudos to those who were at Bourbon Street.  Hey, prime rib isn't a bad trade off.  I left that day tired but excited about the fantastic village of which we are a part.  I hope that you felt the pride that was displayed and knowing that we are a great community to have our business in and to live in.  Thank you, to all the fantastic people who made that event run so smoothly.

I especially want to thank the people who were working behind the scenes. I appreciate the extra mile efforts you  put into this event to make everything the highest caliber of professionalism and yet have the warmth of a town meeting.   Thanks to all the ambassadors and those who manned the registration table that made each of our 470 guests feel welcome.

The Arctic Open is right around the corner and March is membership month, I hope that all of you will decide to be part of both of these events.

Success to you in 2001,

Meredith Bromfield

"Come Watch Us Grow"

"Come Watch Us Grow " is this years theme for the Annual Membership Drive being held in March.   Cesar Pinzon is leading the way and he knows how to do it.  Cesar was last years second place winner.   As we turn the corner of winter, our minds drift towards the thoughts of springtime, sunshine, warm  temperatures, blooming flowers and everything green.  As March approaches your Chamber is also thinking of ways to grow.  During the week of March 5th the Chamber will hold it's annual  Membership Drive.  Our goal is to grow our membership by 20%.  What does this mean to you?  It means a larger resource for you and your business.  It means a deeper networking base and it means broader resources to grow your own business.

To accomplish all of our goals, we need your help.  We are seeking a group of 25 individuals to participate in our Membership Drive.  All we ask is for your time and your enthusiasm.  We will provide all of the contact resources, communications and of course refreshments.  Cesar  can provide one testimonial for being a participant in last year's drive.  Upon recruiting new members, Cesar not only sold a membership, he sold a business insurance policy.   As it turned out, they are his largest single client!  All it cost him was a little time and a lot of fun.

We will have more details for you in future communications, in the meantime, contact Cesar at 630-972-1548 or call the Chamber Office 630-226-8420.

Dear Newsletter Recipient:  Please make every effort to pass this newsletter along to fellow employees so they too can benefit from the Chamber of Commerce events and activities.  Maybe a routing slip could be attached so it would be returned to you after every employee has had an opportunity to look it over.  Keep in mind that your entire company is a Chamber member and we value each of you.  Thanks, Peg Kenyon, Executive Director.
