I am particularly excited about working more closely with the
Chamber staff. During our transition, our new Administrative
Assistant Sabrina Jones demonstrated her commitment to the continued
success of the Chamber. We also have a new Executive Director
Mike Evans who, though appears young, brings a wealth of experience
and enthusiasm to the position. I know the members will all
be singing his praise.
The role of President is that of a spokesperson and leader.
The success of any President in a leadership role is dependent
upon a strong support staff and a dedicated and knowledgeable
Board of Directors. I am very fortunate to have both. Our goals
for the future will not change. We look forward to continued
growth and to providing services and programs to bring meaning
and value to a Chamber membership. If I have a single goal,
it is to retain the current membership. I look today to all
the members for their support to achieve this goal. I assure
you that the Board of Directors are committed to finding new
ways to improve the value of your membership. Having been active
in the Chamber for a number of years, I am proud of all of you
who have chosen to invest in the Chamber. I look forward to
another successful year for our members.
