CALENDAR
Our primary
purpose for including a Community Calendar on our website is
to provide a single source of information that lists events
and activities of community interest.
Our secondary
purpose is to enhance communication among the community leaders
and organizations in terms of planning and coordinating these
events, to avoid scheduling conflicts that interfere with the
sharing of community resources and involvement.
All not-for-profit
organizations are invited to post their events on this calendar
if the events are open to the community. Businesses who are
holding a fundraising event that benefits a not-for-profit organization
or other entity may also post those kinds of activities.
For example,
a retail business cannot post a for-profit sales event. However,
if a retail business is holding a fundraising event to benefit
an entity such as homeless shelter or food pantry, the event
can be posted as long as it is approved and meets all posting
criteria. Specific criteria are available by clicking
here. Decisions regarding the appropriateness of an event
for the calendar are made by the Chamber and Community Partners
Council, and all decisions are final.
