Under the direct supervision of the Director of Domestic Adoption and Birth Parent Services, the birth parent worker provides options counseling to pregnant women who are considering an adoption plan. The birth parent worker is responsible for providing supportive services to birth mothers during pregnancy, labor and after birth.

Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field preferred, a minimum of five years post master's experience in providing individual and or family therapy; child welfare and/or adoption experience, and recruitment experience. An Illinois (or state of residency) licensure as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) or related behavioral health care/professional license is preferred. Cross cultural sensitivity. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. This is a part time position.
