SANTA HOUSE OPENS:

Friday, November 27, 1998
by:  Jan Peterson

It's Santa Time Again!  This means that our members have the opportunity to volunteer 2,4, or 6 hours of their time to help take pictures in the Santa House.  If you have helped in the past, you know  what a wonderful experience this is. And, if you haven't, talk to someone who has and their excitement will make you want to volunteer at least once. Then you will be begging us to let you do it again.

Sign up sheets are being worked on and will be ready soon, if you can't wait to volunteer, call the Chamber office today.

There have been a few changes this year to note, fortunately for us one of them is not Santa.  The house will be located in front of Wal-Mart this year.  We would like to thank Wal-Mart for their support of the Santa House.

Santa will be arriving on on November 27th at 11:00 am and Santa's reindeer will be visiting us on December 5th, along with Huggy Bear and a few elves.

We are currently working on a weekend schedule of events.

Message from the
Executive Director-

Dear Members:
We are gearing up to open the Santa House, which is scheduled to open on Friday, November 27, 1998.  The Santa House committee is working diligently to secure sponsorships for this worthwhile community event.  If you can find some "end of the year" funds to help with this project, please call
Jan Peterson, from Jandon Enterprises (630) 739-3050.  Sponsorships are $50 and $75.
This year the Santa House will be located in front of the Bolingbrook Drive Wal-Mart.  It will run from Nov. 27th through Dec. 23rd.  The house will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during this time frame.
On Sat. Dec. 5th, Santa will also have some of his reindeer visiting.  So, please spread the word to your friends and family and ask them to support the Bolingbrook Chamber.
I would like to say thank you to
Wayne Kwiat, Attorney, Kristi Bloedorn, from Allstate Insurance and Jan Peterson, Jandon Enterprises for a great job in coordinating the "Night Golf" event held on Oct. 16th at Boughton Ridge Golf Course.  We had 30 golfers, great weather, good food and some nice prizes.
I'm looking forward to welcoming our new members at this months luncheon on Thursday, November 19th at the Holiday Inn  Hope to see you there.
I am wishing all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Sincerely,
Peg Halsey
