CONNECTIONS
This month step aboard the 'CHAMBER CRUISER" and sail to the most beautiful island in Hawaii...Maui. (At least try to stretch your imagination a bit.) As we dock, make connections at the welcome luncheon. Raise the level of enjoyability, bring stuff (promotion cups, hats, t-shirts, pens, etc.) and spread it around. Help people to remember you and your company. Leave an impression with promotional items that last and last and last.
Need stuff quickly? Call Julie Reimer or Larry Little at JII Sales Promotion, 815-439-7018, Barb Vantillburg of Off World Designs, 630-739-5274 or Dave Hatcher at D&D Enterprises, 630-972-0575.
Make it your business to meet as many new people as possible. Our goal for this month is to have 150-200 business people on hand..make the most of it.
The buzz word for this month is NETWORK...NETWORK...NETWORK!!!

NETWORKING 101
So you're planning on coming to the August luncheon to NETWORK and further your business. GREAT!! That is what luncheons are all about. They are about forming relationships and cultivating business friendships. People do business with and refer business to the people they like and trust. Always remember the 250 people rule. Everyone you meet usually has a circle of influence of 250 people. Networking is one of the most underused business assets. The best part about it, is it doesn't cost a penny:
NETWORKING COMMANDMENTS - Thou shall..
Introduce Yourself to Everyone... You never know who might be in the room that will help you send your business into the stratosphere. Summarizewhat you and your business is about (no more than 60 seconds). Give the Person You are Speaking with your Full Attention... Never look around the room or past them. Be A Good Listener Patience is a virtue, your turn will come. Ask Open Ended Questions Learn as much as you can about what they do. Volunteer for a Committee... This opens doors by showcasing your skills and commitment.
