Jim Galbraith to receive Business Leadership Award

The Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2016 Business Leadership Award Jim Galbraith of Advantage Chevrolet. Jim has over 24 years of management experience in the automotive industry and was instrumental in the development of the website platform and BDC Center operation of Advantage Chevrolet of Bolingbrook in an effort to exceed customer expectations by providing consistent, accurate, and pertinent information in response to inquiries.  He is committed to a no-pressure, high integrity approach to the customer’s ownership experience and is an integral component of the Advantage Team, Jim is often the initial point of contact for customers and his engaging demeanor is a welcoming factor.

Jim was born and raised in Beverly, located on the south side of Chicago, and is the eldest child of seven.  He attributes much of his identity to his parents for their principles and teachings, especially in giving back to the community.  Jim currently resides in Evergreen Park and is happily married to Kim, his best friend, confidante, and partner in life and love for over 20 years.  He is the proud father of five, two boys and three girls - each pursuing their own career choices in a variety of fields. Jim is looking forward to his 10^th Anniversary with the Advantage family in November and states the leadership and dedication of the owner, Desmond Roberts, and his staff “makes it easy for me to do my job”. 

Jim has become the “face” and the “voice” of the dealership, dedicating significant portions of his personal time in raising awareness for a variety of issues/causes and fundraisers.  Due to his long running relationship and “on air” commercials with Scott McKay of The River, customers are immediately drawn to visit the dealership and search for Crazy Jim.  Jim is the dealership representative and active member of the Bolingbrook Chamber of Commerce.  However, it is his own personal commitment towards serving others that has led him to assist as committee member, auctioneer, and volunteer for Chamber events as well as many nonprofit organizations such as H2O, DuCAP, The Boy Scouts, and March of Dimes.  For these reasons and many more, The Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to award Jim Galbraith and Advantage Chevrolet, The Business Leadership Award for 2016.
